First Wednesday of the new year

And I am glad it’s over. Done bits of this and that today. Took a bunch of pictures of stuff going up for sale on E-Bay. Processed a fair amount of them but still got a bunch more to do. About got the gold glow on the silver stuff figured out too. Got to use indirect lighting instead of direct from the halogen bulbs. Need to get or make some white umbrellas or reflectors to bounce the light off of. Mid afternoon got out and loaded up to go cut wood. Battery in the Toyota truck was about dead. Put the charger on it and it fired up so went over anyway. Cut up most of a fairly large tree and split it into firewood sized chunks and loaded it up in the truck then came back over and unloaded and stacked it. Gonna spend most of tomorrow cutting more up. Got a large oak thats down on the fence over the creek on cemetery hill. Got to get a load of other stuff cleared up and out to get in there to it but should be able to get that done in an hour or so and spend the rest of the day cutting the oak up. Or that’s the plan for now. Will see what the day brings.

Came in and started clearing things inside up a bit in preparation for some friends coming over later. Had several things come off auction while we were getting things ready. Most of which should go out tomorrow. Still waiting on payment of a few but most of it has been paid. Will be much fun at the post office tomorrow sending stuff out. Most go to places here in the US but got one going to Australia so there’s the export paperwork to go through. Finished cleaning up and moving stuff, ate supper and company came. Then another mutual friend dropped in and things got long. Many snacks were consumed and much firewood was burned. Things broke up around 11 and we cleaned up a bit and put up leftover food stuffs. Am about ready for the sack myself. So till tomorrow… ;-)

  1. Sounds like a day. Mine was more of the usual–troubleshooting things, fixing things (many remotely), and dealing with checking warranty/ordering parts for a laptop. Battery has expired, and so had the warranty on the battery, though not on the rest of the machine. So we’ll order one, it looks like. Did a little more in the lab and got some more stuff checked out up there, which led to a decision as to what hardware to use in one spot up there. Will actually make things just slightly easier, methinks, and opens up other good possibilities elsewhere.

Thence to Wally World and Subway, and then home, where things were a little bit slower.

Now to get the day going! Have a good one!
