Been another slowish day here. Got a box put together for the cats to sleep in, though of course last time I looked there were none to be found. Perverse little fur balls that they are. A friend came by early afternoon and needed a piece of wood cut which I did. Tried one way with a new piece I got for the skill saw but was getting a bit of misalignment so went with the radial arm saw instead. Went and paid some bills and picked up some oatmeal that we forgot to get yesterday then came back home. Got the fire going good again and went out back and finished splitting the last of the wood that was on the trailer. Depending on both how I feel and the weather, tomorrow, I may go and get the last of the oak cut up, split into small enough bits to load on the trailer and hauled back over here. Then again I may spend the day doing other things to try to get us a bit more weather proofed for the coming cold. Guess I’ll see when the day gets here.
Still clearing stuff off of the iBook. Have got just over 40 gb clear now and am gonna let it go at that for now. Figure to resize the HFS+ partition to 60 gb and use the other 20 gb for Ubuntu and see how it does on there. From doing a bit more digging around it looks like there are still a lot of things that won’t work on the PPC architecture that I would really like to have but such is life with older computer equipment.
For now am gonna see if I can get it to reboot on the external firewire drive and resize the internal drive. So till tomorrow…
