Good analogies, and good article. Much truth in it. I have thought about getting a netbook, but when there are new laptops that have MUCH better specs (dual-core processor, bunch of RAM, bigger HD, bigger screen, and–here’s the kicker–a keyboard you can use without straining your curse filter) for just a little bit more, or in some cases, less, I have a hard time justifying it to myself. Though it would be easier to carry around than a full-sized laptop, I have to wonder if the compromises would be worth it. Maybe I can luck up on a cheap used one in a year or so, or if the form-factor is still around, they may have something more compelling by then. We’ll see…but I have to say the comments about the “Monarch Burger” pie is right on–it sucks, and eating it is a pain in the ass. I don’t care HOW it looks, it’s still a sucky PITA. Not all marketing decisions are good ones….
