On the first day of the new year

A eating we did go. To my folks house for lunch that is. Had black eyed peas, turnip greens, ham, sweet potatoes, and later some ambrosia. Got almost over full.

Came back and did a bit of caulking of the south side porch roof then hauled some firewood in for the evening. Added some weatherstripping to the back storm door and then called it quits for manual labor for the day.

Set up the new blog and did a bit of house keeping in several of the old ones then warmed and ate supper. After which went back to the computer and been browsing her and there since.

Not sure what the morrow will bring. Kinda depends on the rain situation. If it rains then will work inside and if not am gonna try to get some more sealing up done to the large gaping openings in the eves of the buildings. Guess we’ll find out when it gets here. Till then… 😉

We had a typical New Years Day–the wife and I both worked. She had to, and I had a lot to do and she was working, so….the daughter went too and helped me hook up 2 dozen computers. She was a great help. Later went home and cooked New Year’s Supper–pork roast (which I slow cooked all day), black-eyed peas, greens, and mashed potatoes. It was all good. We then just watched TV/did computer things and went to bed.

Today was different. The wife was off, and wanted to go to several different stores, and did. I took the daughter to the Urgent Care as she wasn’t feeling good. Turned out she has mono as well as a probable ear/sinus infection. What fun. They said that that was case #3 for the day of mono–seems to be making a breakout around here. Oh joy.

Now we are about to gather and watch the Sugar Bowl. Have a good one.

The new site looks good! I’ll comment more as I get a better chance to look at it all…
