Comment spam getting better

Not that any spam is good but at least some of the new stuff is entertaining. I was looking at the overnight stats this morn and noted a new item in the spam folder. Went to see what kind of viagra, penis or breast enlargement aid was trying to link to me this time and got the following:

I was studying something else about this on another blog. Interesting. Your linear perspective on it is diametrically contradicted to what I read to begin with. I am still reflecting over the opposite points of view, but I’m leaning to a great extent toward yours. And irrespective, that’s what is so super about modern democracy and the marketplace of thoughts on-line.

Which is at the very least articulate and thoughtful. Then I looked at the post it was from. Twas a link post on how to install the new Skype beta on Ubuntu 9.10. 🙂 Looked further and the persons link was to a site on Rugby in the USA. So kinda makes me wonder where they copied the above from, and how many times it’s been and is being used to get links. 😦 Nice try, or as the old saw goes “Close but no cigar”…

I was studying something about this in a post on another website, and it seemed to me that your take was totally out in left field, but at the same time had aspects that deserved more introspection. So, I forwarded it to 1,956 of my closest friends and am awaiting for their replies.

I’ll cc you on all of them…..

Maybe they hired an out of work English major to write stuff for them. I agree, it might be comment spam, but at least it’s more fun to read than “We’ll make your penis HUGE!” or “I miss you so bad since you left Russia.” Kind of ironic that those two things are the main e-mail spam I get at home nowdays….
