Been a day

Not particularly good or bad, just a day. Was quite noisy for most of the day with the melting snow. Got a few things done. Less than I wanted but more than I figured. Am typing this from the Linux box, which I managed to get moved and set back up in the winter quarters. Got the updates done, though still have other things that need doing. For now am thinking that bed is the best thing to do, so am headed that way. Till tomorrow… 😉

Same here, not particularly good or bad. Wife came home early, so I didn’t get much done in the evening, but we had a good time. Played Scrabble, watched the Olympics. About to get going on the computers here again, the coffee is spreading through my system…

Well, just got done with swapping a 18.5″ widescreen LCD for a 17″ CRT as my second monitor. After a little bit of sturm and drang got both it and the primary 19″ 4:3 LCD monitor working at native resolution now. Looks awesome! Now, I’ll just wait and see how long it takes the wife to notice it…

But you’re conserving energy. Being kind to the earth and all that. Won’t cost near as much to run as the old CRT as well as doesn’t produce near the heat so will help on the Air conditioning power bills. Will also help with eye strain as there isn’t any flicker with the LCD monitors… 😉

True, true–I’ll be sure and pass that on to the wife at the appropriate time–like when she takes a breath from screaming…no, really, I don’t know what she’ll say, and it may very well be a while before she notices…we’ll see, we’ll see…after almost 30 years of marriage, I duck pretty well when needed…
